Mutomo, Kenya: Heaven Rejoices Over Widows

During our recent mission to Africa, our team had the incredible honor of sharing the gospel with the widows in Mutomo, Kenya—and heaven rejoiced as around 50 women gave their lives to Jesus or rededicated their hearts to Him!
Our ministers boldly declared this truth:
“Death isn’t the end—it’s the beginning.”
After the message of salvation, we extended love in action by gifting each woman what we call a “Widow’s Basket”—a bundle of food supplies to help sustain them for the month. We also blessed them with beautiful turbans. Many came in with their heads hung low… but left smiling, heads lifted, visibly changed from the inside out.
The drink of Living Water they received from the Lord was seen in their faces and felt in the atmosphere. It was holy. It was powerful. It was pure.
Our hearts were wrecked in the best way as we encountered the Father’s love for widows—a love that James 1:27 calls “pure religion” in the eyes of God.
